Why?
MindTheGap.ai is a personal project seeking to ignite curiosity and critical thinking through stories and questions.
It is a collection of posts with observations, experiences, thoughts and questions related to Technology, AI, our Mind, Society, Ethics. It is not an academic research forum.

The aim is to be mindful, be human, be in the driving seat of a sustainable and democratic future.
It is intended to spark a discussion, a thought process, more questions and hopefully a change.

We are all responsible for our own future and the direction in which technology evolves within our society.
What Gap?
The Gap is the abyss of the unknown between us as humans and the exponentially evolving technology.
The Gap is what we either ignore, forget or are simply not aware of, also perpetuated by our own cognitive biases.
The Gap is the widening space between having informed choices and alternatives and being forced in a corner (even if it’s very comfortable!).
:: Is the technology being created or that we are using aligned with our personal value system?

:: Is technology reinforcing stereotypes or driving a democratic society?
:: Are we abandoning core cognitive capabilities and outsourcing responsibility to technology (consciously or not)?

About me
I am a normal person but with a very serious condition - questionitis.
I have many questions and soon as I reach a reasonable answer, I have another question.
My love of technology, innovation, imagination and how AI can enrich, enhance and save lives is currently in conflict with my concern for how we are (d)evolving as humans and society.
I have spent over 15 years as a data person in various capacities - designer, engineer, consultant, analyst, scientist.

​Closest to my heart is the belief that we, as individuals and society must have choices and awareness when it comes to technology.
Without choices, there is no freedom.
